The second song on the “Just me & the Rain” album is called “Count My Blessings”. Click here to have a look & a listen The thought behind this track was started after a chat with an old friend. He was getting a little tired of what he called the “Bless Me” culture that he was encountering. I went away, challenged by his thought process. I thought that I too was a paid up member of the “Bless Me” club; I was always asking for more than what I had & I wanted to give voice to the idea that I already have so much in my world that should shine brightly as a testimony to what it means to be blessed.
I’m not saying I’m any good at it but I do try to live my life attempting to be a blessing rather than just receive all the time. The irony is, that outwardly, it would seem that the more that I attempt this i.e. to be a blessing, the more I seem to be on the receiving end of some incredibly generous humanity.

- Yes, the album is being released one song per month. There maybe 2 per month on the odd occasion but unless otherwise stated, it will be one per
